John Jeppsen, Chair - Greenberg Traurig, LLP

John C. Jeppsen is a shareholder in the Las Vegas office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, an international law firm with approximately 1750 attorneys in more than 30 offices across the United States and in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Jeppsen focuses his practice in corporate and securities law, public offerings and private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and other sophisticated finance transactions. He regularly advises public companies on Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting obligations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, stock exchange listing rules and corporate governance matters. A Nevada attorney for more than two decades, Jeppsen has been involved in leading numerous multi-million dollar transactions for a multitude of clients in the real estate, hotel-casino, manufacturing and retail industries. Jeppsen collaborates with Greenberg Traurig's Corporate and Securities/M&A Practice, which is comprised of more than 350 lawyers. In addition to serving on the Westcare Nevada, Inc. board, Jeppsen is a member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Nevada. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Mergers and Acquisitions Law and was named one of Nevada's Legal Elite by Nevada Business Magazine. Jeppsen received his J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law; his M.B.A from the University of Utah; and his B.S. from Brigham Young University. Jeppsen is licensed to practice law in both Nevada and Utah. In his free time, Jeppsen enjoys road biking, mountain biking, boating, golfing, running and spending time with his family. He lives in Boulder City with his wife Jody. They have four children. Jeppsen is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah.



Marilyn Moran, Vice Chair

Jean and Herb Tobman arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada from New Jersey in 1952, with their two small children. They were like so many others searching for the new west, new ideas, a new future, and Las Vegas welcomed them and many others. The new future included establishing a family furniture store on Main Street. The Tobman Family flourished, becoming part of the community. Their four children, like many others road their bikes to school, horses throughout the desert area and made life-long friends. Important to the family was service to their community and over 40 years ago the Tobman family assisted in establishing WestCare. Marilyn married John Moran in 1970 and they continued her family's passionate commitment to WestCare. Today, she servers on the State and National Boards of WestCare Foundation. She and her entire family continue to support WestCares mission of "Uplifting the Human Spirit". Marilyn is a well know supporter of all things Nevada. Her many years of community service has also included a Mayoral Appointment to the City Planning Commission following in her father's footsteps. During her 10 years on the commission, the commission adopted the Southwest Development Plan for Southern Nevada. When not working in the family transportation business, Western Cab Company, or supporting an important cause, you will find Marilyn and her husband John traveling and enjoying the great outdoors with their children and seven grand children.



Christine Bosse, VP Government Relations - Renown Health

Chris Bosse is the VP of Government Relations for Renown Health and her responsibilities include strategic input and direction for developing and leading government relations and related community relations for Renown. In addition, she is responsible for educating federal and state legislators, government and community leaders about healthcare and what issues put Renown's safety net services at risk. Chris has worked for Renown Health for more than 20 years and prior to her role in government relations her roles focused primarily in Finance and ranged in scope from financial projects to Vice President of Finance for Renown Regional Medical Center, a 538 bed level II trauma center, and Vice President of Financial Operations for Renown's Integrated Health Network which included traditional financial responsibilities such as financial reporting, budgeting, etc. to more health care industry specific responsibilities such as reimbursement, business office, medical records, admitting, social services, case management, etc. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and received her bachelor's degree in business administration at California State University, Sacramento. Prior to joining Renown, she worked for Ernst and Young. She serves on the Board of the following organizations: Nevada Hospital Association, HealthInsight Nevada, HealthInsight Management Corporation, HealtHIE Nevada, Access to Healthcare Network, and Northern Nevada HOPES.



Eric Endy, Las Vegas Chinese School

Eric P. Endy, is the co-owner and of Las Vegas Chinese School and a director with Gaming Partners International Corporation. Mr. Endy received a Master of Arts from California State University-Los Angeles in 1981 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007. Through his commitment to WestCare, Eric is carrying on his father's legacy. His father, Paul Endy, was an early board member who strongly advocated for children and youth in the Las Vegas community.



Kirk Holmes

Kirk Holmes is a true WestCare success story. He graduated WestCare California’s Bakersfield Residential program in 2003 and has stayed with the WestCare Family ever since. Kirk has been called a creative genius who thinks outside the box. He began exploring what he could accomplish with a computer at the age of eight after receiving a book on programming for Christmas. For the past 15 years, he has focused on planning, implementing, and managing online marketing projects for large and small companies alike. He holds certifications from Google in AdWords and Analytics as well as marketing automation certifications from SharpSpring and Hubspot. Since 2015, Kirk has become a serial entrepreneur - starting multiple businesses of his own while continuing to help others in the digital marketing and software development space. In 2016, he was awarded U.S. Patent number 9,302,800 for a System And Method For Forming Fluid Mixtures. In 2017, Kirk formed Bolt Goodly, a digital marketing firm, with his wife and a partner. He is still a Senior Partner and serves a variety of clients from not for profits to distributors and professional services firms. He also works in data brokering and software development.

Kirk, having a strong passion for the community, serves on the local Community Action Council (CAC) for WestCare Nevada and is a proud member of the Las Vegas Rotary Club where he has sat on the board in charge of Public Image for the last four years. In 2018, he was awarded the honor of Rotarian of the Year by the Las Vegas Rotary Club.

Kirk and his wife, Becca, welcomed their first child this past November. His name is Neil, after Neil Armstrong, showing their strong affection for space and science. Their beloved Wheaten Terrier is named Artemis after the upcoming moon missions.



Bill Houghton, Horizon Print Solutions

Bill Houghton, Founder and President of Horizon Print Solutions, has been streamlining print buying and distribution since 1992 from his Las Vegas enterprise, although he services the needs of small and medium businesses across North America. He has been recognized locally and nationally in and out of his industry as an extraordinary business visionary. His professional mission is to elevate the reputation of the print industry as a whole by studying great companies from every industry and applying strategies learned to improve business processes in his industries.



Nancy Mays

Nancy Mays has the distinction of being a fourth generation Las Vegan, whose family moved from Butte, Montana to the area before Las Vegas was officially founded as a city in 1905. Her grandfather worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 50 years and met her grandmother on his job while going from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. He brought her to Las Vegas, where they were married in 1912. Her father was born in 1917, attended the University of Nevada, Reno, served over three years in the U.S. Navy, and returned to Las Vegas to join the gaming business and hold a Nevada state gaming license. He started his career as a dealer and moved up to the roles of an executive and an owner for some of the city’s most successful and famous casinos. Her mother's family came to Las Vegas from New Jersey in 1937. They were married there in 1946. With such a rich family history that is woven into the fabric that is Las Vegas, Nancy herself was a part of the city’s history. She began her career in the Las Vegas hotel industry on August 5, 1966, the day that Caesars Palace opened! Today, she is happily married to Bill Mays, with whom she has two grown children. Nancy has been a member of WestCare Nevada’s Community Action Council (CAC) for approximately 10 years. We are thankful for the experience and insight that she brings to the table to help us enhance how we Uplift the Human Spirit of all of those that we serve! She has volunteered with helping fulfill the needs of the WestCare Nevada Women and Children’s Campus. She has been pivotal in holding our annual Christmas Tea event with gifts for the children and mothers as well as helping conduct various other projects on the campus throughout the year. Nancy also enjoyed being involved in the creation of the transitional wing at the Women and Children’s Campus and seeing it through to fruition.



MaryAnn Rivera

MaryAnn Moore Rivera is a third generation Nevadan, born in Las Vegas and educated at Bishop Gorman High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She taught school for five years and was an Administrator at Bishop Gorman for twelve years in charge of development. For over ten years, she served Governors List, Bryan and Miller on the State Board of Museums and History and the Energy Resource Advisory Board. She has been a member of the Las Vegas Junior League since 1972 and served on the Advisory Boards for Catholic Charities and Valley Hospital. Married to Lyle Rivera since 1967, they have three grown children and two grandsons. Besides being a doting grandmother, she enjoys hiking, biking, golfing, cooking and summers in Sun Valley Idaho.



Arnold Stalk

Arnold Stalk, Ph.D. has more than four decades of experience in the public and private sector and is responsible for dozens of notable residential, industrial and commercial projects in Nevada, California, and throughout the U.S. as well as in Haiti and China. He has been the Principal of Arnold Stalk Consulting, a Las Vegas-based full-service firm specializing in “Start-To-Finish” planning and urban design, redevelopment, governmental relations, real estate acquisitions, property management, and property financing projects.

Dr. Stalk received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc) and holds a Ph.D. As a professor of architecture, he has taught and lectured at California State University, Northridge; Southern California Institute of Architecture; the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); University of Southern California (USC); California Polytechnic University Pomona and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He was previously a licensed general contractor in the State of California and is currently a licensed real estate agent, property manager, and expert witness in the State of Nevada.

Having served on the Board of Trustees of Habitat for Humanity, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, United Way of April - Greater Las Vegas, American Red Cross of Southern Nevada and Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, Dr. Stalk understands the intense need for caring about our community. He was also an advisory board member of Variety Early Learning Center, 100 Black Men of Las Vegas, and is currently a trustee and the president of SHARE, a non-profit organization that was founded in 1994.

Dr. Stalk is the Founder of Veterans Village Las Vegas, which is now known as Share Village Las Vegas, which serves U.S. Veterans and families in need. This is a unique and innovative approach to holistic and comprehensive housing with intensive supportive services. Public and private collaborative partnerships have been created to provide supplies and services to residents including housing, medical and mental health services, employment training, referrals and placements, food pantry/nutrition programs, and transportation to the VA and other clinics in Las Vegas.

Dr. Stalk was recognized with the National Daily Points of Light Award from the White House, presented by President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush in 2007. In addition, he has received the Community Associations Institute’s “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Measures Award,” was a nominee for the Volunteer Service Humanitarian Award for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada. Dr. Stalk has also received Community Partners for Better Health - Veterans Village US Veteran Services Award and was nominated for the CNN Heroes and the President Citizens Medal Award. In recent times, he was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Mike Pence at The White House for housing formerly homeless U.S. Veterans with respect and dignity.



Russell Swain, GLB Insurance Group of Nevada

According to Russ, the insurance business just runs in the family. He grew up learning about insurance and the surety business from his father, Russell E. (Rusty) Swain, and was given the chance to officially join the business in 1979, when he joined George L. Brown Insurance Insurance Agency just after graduating from high school. He joined the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as an underwriter trainee in 1981 and worked for the FFIC until 1983. Swain returned to GLB to work with his father, and he became a principal of the firm five years later in 1988. Swain became company president in 2002 and has continued to lead the agency to additional years of steady growth and a notable reputation. Swain assisted personally in the successful merger of both the Holmes Insurance group in 2000 with GLB and Atkin & Prater Insurance in 2004, which formed our current operation known now as "GLB INSURANCE GROUP OF NEVADA" founded by George L. Brown in 1941. Swain obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1997. A respected member of the insurance field, Swain served as President of the Independent Agents of Southern Nevada from 1990-91 and served as the State President of the NIIA from 2007-08, along with many other committee and service commitments in his industry. In his free time, Swain enjoys hiking, snow skiing, boating, motorcycles, bird hunting, ATV's, and spending time with his family.
