Puerto Rico’s Department of Family recently organized an event called the Meeting of Entities to recognize the work conducted by the different entities of Puerto Rico who provide services to people experiencing homelessness through funds granted.
Guara Bi, Inc. received recognition for its compliance with its pace of meeting expenditures in the established times, efforts with community outreach, perfect attendance at the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program trainings, and implementation of new and innovative approaches to meeting best practices.
During the event, WestCare’s Chief Operating Officer for the Caribbean and Latin American region, Cristian Duarte and Vice President of Guara Bi, Ivan Moratiel, were able to share and exchange ideas with staff from other entities and offer motivational and financial workshops with hopes to promote professional growth.
