For two weekends in a row, on Nov 2nd & 9th, Pinellas and Pasco County staff from WestCare GulfCoast-Florida participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Community Walk. Over 32 staff, alongside their friends and family, joined the walk with the goal of giving people within their communities the courage to open about their own connections to the AFSP cause while also creating a culture that’s smart about mental health. This event was all about friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers walking side-by-side, supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost. WestCare GulfCoast-Florida remains committed to being a resource for our communities in need of mental health services.
