Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
WestCare is committed to making our websites accessible and usable for all people, including people with disabilities. We are working to improve the accessibility of our digital content and to provide equal access to information, services, programs, and opportunities available through our websites.
Scope of This Statement
This statement applies to WestCare-managed public websites and related web pages, including the website where this statement is posted. Some affiliated, hosted, embedded, or third-party content may be outside of WestCare’s direct control, but when possible and appropriate, we will work with vendors and content owners to address accessibility barriers when they are identified.
Accessibility Standard We are Working Toward
WestCare’s goal is to align public-facing web content with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and to consider Section 508 accessibility concepts where applicable. These standards help make web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people using a range of browsers, devices, keyboards, screen readers, magnification tools, voice input, and other assistive technologies.
Known Limitations and Current Remediation Work
We are aware that some pages and components may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. Known issue areas may include missing or insufficient alternative text, insufficient color contrast, links or buttons that need clearer accessible names, heading order concerns, forms or search fields that need stronger labels, embedded content that needs descriptive titles, duplicated or unclear landmark regions, small touch targets, and mobile zoom restrictions. We are reviewing these issues and working to resolve them by updating templates, themes, plugins, page content, and third-party components.
Measures We Are Taking
WestCare is taking steps to improve accessibility by scanning websites, prioritizing issues based on severity and user impact, remediating shared templates and components, training content and website administrators, reviewing new content before publication when feasible, and retesting pages after fixes are applied.
