The Speaker of Puerto Rico’s House of Representatives, Lisie J. Burgos Muñiz, sponsored a training activity for staff working in different treatment and rehabilitation programs as part of local initiatives in support of National Recovery Month in September.
During this event, the work of several non-profit organizations was recognized including Guara Bi, Inc., who was represented by Mr. Cristian Duarte, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Caribbean and Latin American Region.
We were honored to receive recognition for the work we have been doing to support the recovery of populations in need as well as our continued commitment to the prevention of drug use.
We are very proud of this recognition since it has always been our mission to provide housing, treatment and prevention services to those with the courage to fight and overcome their addiction and conflicts.
