In support of Red Ribbon Week last month, WestCare Texas joined the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Drug Enforcement Agency, San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness, Angel Moms, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, San Antonio Police Department, Texas National Guard, and Education Service Center (ESC) Region 20 to help educate students in eight middle schools across San Antonio on the significance of Red Ribbon Week and the serious threats that exist in the form of fentanyl and other drugs.
“We just want to bring awareness to the kiddos that these drugs are really out there and they’re getting worse and worse,” says Julie Jones, of WestCare Texas.
