On June 17th, the Carillon Hilton in St. Petersburg, Florida was filled with over 160 enthusiastic individuals for WestCare GulfCoast-Florida’s (WCGC-FL) first Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon. The event was a resounding success as WCGC-FL’s leadership team took the opportunity to sincerely acknowledge and express gratitude for the unwavering dedication and contribution of their entire staff in providing behavioral health and human services along Florida’s Gulf Coast over the past 20 years.
The ambiance was warm and inviting as everyone indulged in delicious food and engaging conversation. Attendees were also presented with exciting updates on WCGC-FL’s financials, a deep dive into organizational culture, and a myriad of other enriching insights from the WCGC-FL leadership team, all of which underscored the significance of regional collaboration and international connections.
In addition, the recent collaboration between The Red Tent Women’s Initiative Inc. (RTWI) and WCGC-FL was officially announced to all staff, signifying a new chapter in their shared mission. The members of RTWI, who provide trauma-informed programs to incarcerated women on Florida’s Gulf Coast, were warmly welcomed into the WestCare family. This collaboration ensures the continuity of their impactful work while offering boundless prospects for further advancement and expansion within the supportive WestCare network.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved in orchestrating this outstanding event, and an even bigger thank you is extended to the dedicated staff and board members who graced the occasion with their presence. The future looks incredibly promising, and we are thrilled to be a part of this journey together!
