Since 1992, WestCare Arizona has provided a full continuum of community-based, family-oriented social service and behavioral health programming to youth; adults and families in the rural, tri-state area of Arizona, California, and Nevada. Our team of experienced staff is dedicated to providing the best care to everyone who enters our doors. Our goal is to uplift the human spirit by providing the skills and support for individuals to achieve their dreams and transform their lives.
WestCare Arizona provides a wide spectrum of health and human services in both residential and outpatient environments. That spectrum includes outpatient mental health and substance use, education and treatment, domestic violence court ordered services; BIP, anger management and victim services, a domestic violence advocate, DUI screening, education and treatment, transportation services, recovery homes and domestic violence shelter.
WestCare Arizona is partially funded by the State of Arizona Dept. of Economic Security, Mohave County, State of Nevada Attorney General Office, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), FEMA, Arizona Supreme Court, OVW, VOCA, AZ Attorney General Office, Mohave County and AZ state Medicaid.
Our dedicated professional team is deeply committed to the services we provide. We have a good, solid reputation in our community as heard from clients and other providers that if you have an issue or question, call WestCare, they can do anything! Our Community Action Committee is made up of local community leaders that help us overcome major obstacles as we move ahead. It is not uncommon to see a staff member transporting a client to another provider to get the services they need when it is out of our scope of work or getting a client much needed dental work at no cost to them. Nothing stands in our way!
Hildy's House
Hildy’s House is a 16-bed Co-Occurring Chemical Dependency Treatment Center that provides gender-responsive, culturally competent, trauma-informed services to adult women including pregnant and parenting women with a child up to 12 months of age. Services are provided in a safe and nurturing environment that offers a holistic approach to recovery that includes education, treatment, case management, individual counseling, medication management and wellness in a home-like setting.

Blossom House
Blossom House is a 9-bed sober living facility for men which provides a structured environment to assist in the road to recovery. Staff assists men with employment, education, transportation, cleaning up legal issues and living skills. Clients must have the ability to become employed, commit to attend house meetings, attend 12-step meetings of choice daily, remain alcohol and drug free, and be serious about sobriety. A Senior Peer is assigned on site to assist others in their road to recovery. Referrals are made to Blossom House from the local probation dept., local courts, and AZDCS. It is conveniently located in Bullhead City where access to bus service, courts, shopping, medical services and our Community Involvement Center is readily available.

Diamond House
Diamond House is a 9-bed sober living facility for women that provides a structured environment to assist in the road to recovery. Staff assists women with employment, education, transportation, cleaning up legal issues and living skills. Clients must have the ability to become employed, commit to attend house meetings, attend 12 step meeting of choice daily, remain alcohol and drug free, and be serious about sobriety. A Senior Peer is assigned on site to assist others in their road to recovery. Referrals are made to Diamond House from the local probation dept., local courts, AZDCS and community partners. It is conveniently located in Bullhead City where access to bus service, courts, shopping, medical services and our Community Involvement Center is readily available.

Domestic Violence Treatment
WestCare Arizona provides Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Offender Treatment for defendants who have been court ordered to take domestic violence/anger management classes. Appointments are made at our office for an approximate 2-hour intake process which include screening and if the defendant chooses enrollment into a program which is based off AZ statues where they are educated on the effects of domestic violence in their families and learn how to avoid and manage anger issues. The referring courts are kept apprised of their progress and certificates of completion are given at the end of the program. Funding is through client self-pay.

DUI Screening
WestCare AZ (WCAZ) provide DUI Screening, education and treatment to all defendants charged with a DUI anywhere in Mohave County. 1-Hr appointments are made at our office in Bullhead City, where defendants sit down with one of our specialists to determine what level of treatment is needed based off Arizona statues. After scoring a series of testing instruments, defendants will be given Level 1 (36 hours of classes) or Level 2 (16 hours of classes) where they can enroll with WCAZ or a local provider. Referrals arrive from all 5 local courts. Strict timelines are in place to complete this process. WestCare Arizona is responsible for following the defendant through the process and reporting back to the referring court of their progress. Funding is through client self-pay.

Safehouse Domestic Violence Shelter
WestCare offers a safe haven for women and their children to remove themselves and their children from a harmful and potentially fatal environment. Safehouse, our 17-bed, licensed, domestic violence shelter, offers warm beds, family style meals, 24-hour crisis intervention, support groups, legal referrals, community referrals, employment assistance and many other services. It is conveniently located within the city limits of Bullhead City with access to bus service, medical services, local courts, and shopping. Staff assist them with whatever they need to prepare to move to a safer living environment and begin re-building their lives. Funding is through Arizona Dept. of Economic Security, FEMA, NV office of Attorney General, VOCA, NVDCFS, AZ office of Attorney General and local donations.

Outpatient Behavioral Health
WestCare Arizona provides Outpatient Substance Abuse, mental health, co-occurring Treatment for anyone requesting it or if ordered by the courts to complete. The referring agency is kept informed of their progress and certificates of completion are given at the end of their treatment. Anyone is welcome to come to us for substance abuse treatment. Funding is through Arizona State Medicaid and/or self-pay.

System Advocacy
Through a contract with the State of Arizona Department of Economic Security, WestCare Arizona provides system advocacy to victims in the tri-state area of Mohave County, Needles, California and Laughlin/Searchlight/Cal-Nev-Ari areas needing legal assistance with orders of protection, dissolution of marriages, birth records and more. Our full time advocate is available to them 24/7 and is often called out to assist the local first responders on-site with victim needs on the scene of the crime.
