When Mary Green of Forest City brings in a donation, she tells the staff what she has brought in and why. She says that she reflects on what personal hygiene items she uses throughout her day. She states,
“When I get up, I brush my teeth. So, I buy toothpaste and toothbrushes. When getting ready for the day, I take a shower with shower gel or soap, shampoo, and conditioner.”

She also takes into consideration that men shave. So, she purchases shaving cream, razors, and some rolls of paper towels and toilet paper – that’s just a given.
Since 2020, Mary has added Christmas time to her list to expand her mission to help others. We are very grateful that she has chosen the Family Alliance for Veterans of America (FAVA) to support! The bottom line here is a nice lady doing nice things for our Veterans!
Thank you, Mary, for all that you do to help make our Veterans’ days start just a little smoother. You make a difference in so many ways and your generosity has not gone unnoticed!
