WESTCARE ARIZONA COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL

Bill Ekstrom, Chair

Bill Ekstrom indicates his greatest accomplishment is his beautiful 25 year marriage to his wife Dianne and the pride of raising Hillary and Haydon. But let us tell you the real deal. Bill, born and raised in Arizona, accomplished his law degree 1973. Three short years later (1976) he was offered and accepted a position with the Deputy County Attorney's office in Kingman AZ. In 1979, he was appointed to the position of Mohave County Attorney and was re-elected for six (6) terms of office. As a matter of fact, during his last term in office he served as the Vice Chair for the Arizona Prosecuting Attorney's Advisory Council. In 1974 he decided to hang up his hat but never abandoned the community. Bill was instrumental in beginnings victim's programs in Mohave County and in the adoption of the Victim's Bill of Rights for the Sate of Arizona. Over the years, Bill has been active in many professional and civic activities. In 2012 the Mohave County Bar Association presented him with the Frank X. Gordon Award for outstanding achievement in the practice of law. Bill currently is the Chair of the WestCare Arizona Board of Directors and a member of our Community Action Council. Thank you Mr. Ekstrom!
