On Nov. 8, a memorial service was held for WestCare Kentucky‘s beloved emotional support dog, Daisy. WestCare staff gathered to remember the Labrador retriever that touched countless lives. Rescued in 2018, Daisy quickly became a fixture at the Ashcamp and Lookout facilities, bestowing love on all she encountered. After being a part of the WestCare Family for four years, she passed away due to natural causes in early November. Daisy was laid to rest on the grounds of the Lookout facility. In the words of Life Skills Counselor, Shaun Doan, “Daisy was loving, caring, and forgiving. She would brighten your day. She was the best friend you could have. Daisy never met a stranger.”
